Refurbishment Aschaffenburg town hall
This refurbishment demonstrates impressively that contemporary thermal insulation is very much compatible with the requirements of monument preservation: among other things, highly thermally insulating, triple-glazed VISS facade doors help to preserve the building's period appearance.
The architectural firm Bernhard + Partner Architekten had dealt intensively with the question of how to design french doors of this size in accordance with the preservation of historical monuments. The huge pivoting sashes were manufactured by David Stahl- und Metallbau GmbH from the thermally separated profile system and fitted with triple insulating glazing. Sashes of this size require special fittings.
