This year’s Salone del Mobile sees Dooor reconfirm its thriving partnership with Calvi Brambilla and Partners with the installation “Playscape”, inspired by the park of the same name created by the sculptor and designer, Isamu Noguchi. «It’s a self-supporting reticular structure – explain the architects – which unfolds throughout the space and generates an immersive three-dimensional graphic effect, loosely inspired by the lines of urban playgrounds».

Within “Playscape”, the folding door becomes a technical marvel: it outlines the exhibition route with a sequence of materials ranging from velvet to faux leather; it guides the three senses of sight, touch and hearing with its iridescent surfaces, inviting you to discover the space in one seamless flow. The curve’s lightness is contrasted by the structure’s solidity, which reaches a height of no less than five metres: a challenging statement

“Playscape” embodies the legacy of the brand’s craftsmanship and the product offers multiple technical possibilities. The ambience created is accentuated by the theatricality of the numbers, illuminated elements which, as a tribute to Mario Merz, mark the towering folding door to dizzying heights. Among the materials on display, ECO2 is back, a manifesto of the brand’s circularity, composed in part of recycled fibres with Oeco Tex certification and characterised by high sound-absorbing performance.
