The reconversion of a former hotel into a private office was considered a challenge. The authenticity of the original 1930s interior had gone lost after the last renovation. Therefore, a total stripping of the interior was necessary to get back to the essence of the building. The authentic door handles were one of the few elements from the original design that remained standing. They were the inspiration for the shape of the central piece of furniture that serves as a reception desk, bar and meeting table.

The choice of the material palette was inspired by the grandeur of yesteryear. High-quality materials such as profiled walnut, green-veined marble, bronze mirrors and brass accents seem to extend the surrounding forest into the interior.

The colours of the velvet painting technique on the ceiling and walls were repeated on the curtains. Further objects such as the brass icons, lounge furniture, tables and some of the lighting elements were also designed in-house and down to the smallest detail. More specific, this project features our B7 lounge for Bulo, as well as our Billboard Pendant, produced by ZZIP.

Last but not least, we also redesigned the NOAH-logo, in which we incorporated the floorplan of the building in the letter O. This O now serves as the logo for the private office. All of these elements make this a stylish yet modest ‘Gesamstkunstwerk’ with the ambiance of a luxurious smokey club.
