Due to the zonal location of this project, JUMA deliberately chose to give the newly built house only 1 floor. This allows a rather discreet integration, limiting the impact on the surroundings. When New York City based artist Claudia Doring Baez wanted to re-envision her family’s home for a party she was hosting to celebrate her participation at Frieze New York, she enlisted her longtime friend, architect and designer Crina Arghirescu Rogard. The pair have a history of hunting through antique markets and design fairs around the world, and share a mutual passion for eccentric design pieces. Located on the 30th floor of a skyscraper in Levent, the heart of Istanbul’s business district, the Zeren Group Office project offers an innovative approach to contemporary workspaces. To preserve the impressive spatial perception of the volume, which reaches a ceiling height of up to eight meters in certain areas, an open-ceiling system was chosen.
