Villa NM is a wooden new-build villa located in the outskirts of Leusden. This beautiful home replaces a burned down house at the same location. The clients' wish was to bring back the functions of the previous house with a front and rear house in the new design. Two houses under one roof, within one volume, with communal areas spread throughout the house.

A modern family home with private areas and a place to meet. The kink in the design marks the entrance to the house and offers maximum views of the open landscape behind from the living room of the front house.

Comfortable and healthy indoor climate
Mainly natural and sustainable materials were used for the construction of this ecological villa. This contributes to a comfortable and healthy living environment. The facade, roof and floors form a high-quality thermal shell around the house. The farm is constructed from timber frame elements with natural insulation, with the CLT finish determining the atmosphere in the interior.

The facades have wooden facade planks, the folded roof and the entrance facade are covered with ceramic slate tiles. The materials used are durable and resistant to storms in open areas. The main materials have a restrained color palette with earth tones that fit in with the agricultural landscape.
