The two-storey house with courtyard and upstream garage is located on the southern slope of Hofstetten. The access takes place on the street side from above, the living rooms are oriented towards the garden on the plinth floor. The clear and orderly use of space enables an optimal integration of the building into the existing terrain, to which almost no adjustments are necessary. On the entrance floor there is the hall, an open living area, two rooms, bathroom and dressing room. The single staircase leads to the basement with living, dining, kitchen and guest toilet. It is divided on the one hand by a courtyard and on the other hand by a covered seating area. The cellar rooms are arranged on the slope side.

All the main rooms are facing south, facing view and garden. This leads to a U-shaped building that encloses a courtyard forming the center of the house, creating exciting visual references and determining the route within the house. Despite its hillside location, the courtyard allows a multi-sided exposure of the rooms and a strong spatial reference from the entrance to the base floor.

The hard concrete shell forms the transition from the rocky ground to the inside of the ground floor, which opens only to the south with generous windows and cladding made of larch wood. On the upper floor, the materialization with hard concrete bands in front of the ceilings and soft fillings leads from the south to the east façade and the garage door on the street side. The courtyard facades are designed analogously. Even inside, this concept is continued with exposed concrete ceilings, hard concrete floors and fillings with smooth plastered walls or larch windows and cladding.
