A modern, minimalist Passivhaus in Cornwall, designed as a tranquil family retreat. Combining smart technology with energy efficiency, the home embraces its natural surroundings while being thoughtfully future-proofed for accessibility, ensuring a welcoming space for a disabled family member and future generations.

Integrating the electric blind system for the skylights without compromising the minimalist aesthetic was a key challenge. We collaborated with the supplier to develop a bespoke solution, ensuring all mechanisms and housing remain completely hidden when the blinds are open, maintaining clean architectural lines.

All selected materials prioritise sustainability. Durable and practical surfaces ensure longevity, aging gracefully with minimal maintenance. Health-conscious choices further enhance sustainability, including low-VOC paints, solid timber, and natural linens. Even the mattresses—crafted from organic materials in nearby Devon—underscore the project's commitment to both environmental responsibility and human well-being.
